Tolkien moved  here with his mother Edith and brother Hilary from Moseley in 1901. The house is currently being thoughtfully renovated by the proud journalist owners and will even include a Tolkein leaded light in the front door!

The garden backs onto a railway line on which Ronald saw coal trucks from Wales with strange names.
