Birmingham Picture Library Photography Iron Man and Town Hall, Victoria Square The Town Hall is a grade I listed building. Iron Man sculpture is by Antony Gormley (1993), who went on to undertake the amazing Angel of the North (Gateshead) and other well know works. Iron Man evokes strong feelings among locals - not all of them positive. However visitors to the city are generally fascinated by it. You can even buy Iron Man candles in the local tourist offices!
